YARA Field Day 2017

Field Day 2017

Another field day success.

With good weather the antenna raising went smoothly.

A thank you goes out to Colin VE6TGC for suppling his field, his generator and his trailer for us to use.

A group of hams came in from Whitecourt to participate and it was appreciated.

The bands started out poorly but picked up as time went on.

We didn't break any records for the amount of contacts, but had fun and we also got some emergency communication practice.

We operated under the call sign on VE6YAC and operated two radios.

Antennas we used this year were a V beam, a 160 meter loop and two generators for power.

The following is a breakdown of our contacts.
